Follow the dance of changes and news in Movistar prepaid rates. The blue operator already made some adjustments a few weeks ago that came into effect on September 15, 2020. At that time, some improvements were made in the rates without raising the price. These happened to have more gigabytes to navigate or more minutes to call. Now, the blue operator has announced another change in those card rates that will have a new name as of November 3. We give you all the details after the jump.
The prepaid rates are made up of four plans, plus an additional prepaid line from Movistar only for Fusion customers or with the new infinite contract. The first modality is Tarifa Habla 6 without data and with calls at 6 cents per minute. That is the only one that does not change its name. On the other hand, we have the Prepaid Rate 5 with 40 minutes and 7GB for 10 euros, the Prepaid Rate 7 with 100 minutes and 15GB for 15 euros or the Prepaid Rate 15 with 150 minutes and 25GB for 20 euros.
New names for Movistar rates
As we can see, after the improvement of last September, the names of the rates had stopped making sense. The Prepaid Rate 5 already has 7 gigs, the Prepaid 7 has 15 gigs while the Prepaid 15 has actually 25 gigs. We suppose that this has generated confusion among customers, so Movistar has decided to bet on names that allow future changes by not having the "number" included.
In this way, as of November 3, these changes come into effect, which will not have more scope than the modification of the name of the rate. The gigabytes, minutes and other conditions of the rates remain unchanged. This is the summary of changes:
Prepaid 5 becomes Prepaid Plus
Prepaid 7 becomes Prepaid Premium
Prepaid 15 becomes Prepaid Total
Rates already improved in September
In September, these three rates were improved. For example, the future Prepaid Plus had 40 minutes in national calls and 7GB to navigate, Prepaid Premium had 100 minutes in national calls and 15 GB to navigate and Prepaid Total had 150 minutes in national calls and 25 GB for surf.
In addition, when the excess of minutes is exceeded, a Habla + Voucher can be contracted (1000 minutes for € 5 valid for 4 weeks), or failing that, a price per minute of 6 cents plus a 30 cent call establishment will apply.
